MiraFeld licences are created to protect both the customer and MiraFeld. They are not intended to make the process feel complicated or distant, but to make sure the artwork is held with care, the terms of use are clear, and both parties understand what has been agreed.
When you purchase a MiraFeld licence, the intention is that you feel secure in your purchase, confident in how you are allowed to use the artwork, and supported in choosing the licence that fits your plans. MiraFeld values clear communication, respectful use of creative work, and a licensing process that feels transparent rather than confusing.

What This Licence Is For
The Exclusive Personal Usage Licence is for individuals who want to use a MiraFeld artwork for their own personal, non-commercial purposes.
This means you can use the artwork for the personal project or item connected to your purchase.
You may also make minor adjustments where needed for your personal project, such as resizing or colour adjustments, as long as those changes are only made for the specific personal use allowed by the licence.
This licence is suitable for personal projects such as:
tattoos
home décor
personal art pieces
one-off personal items
private creative projects
personal keepsakes or display pieces
This licence is intended for use by the individual customer only.
It does not allow business use, commercial use, resale, mass production, or use by another person or business.
What This Licence Does Not Allow
This licence does not allow any commercial use.
You cannot use the artwork to make money, promote a business, support a brand, or create products for sale.
This means you cannot use the artwork for:
business branding
logos
websites or social media for a business
commercial marketing
merchandise
products for resale
prints for resale
clothing or accessories for sale
digital products for sale
physical products for sale
advertising for a business or commercial project
You also cannot:
resell the artwork itself
reproduce the artwork for sale
distribute the artwork files to another person
sublicense the artwork to someone else
transfer the licence to another person
let a third party use the artwork for their own purposes
claim that you created the artwork
claim copyright ownership of the artwork
present the artwork in a way that suggests you own the copyright
significantly alter, adapt, or create derivative works from the artwork without prior written consent from MiraFeld
In simple terms: this licence allows you to use the artwork for yourself, but not for business, sale, profit, resale, distribution, or use by others.
Copyright and Ownership
Purchasing this licence does not transfer ownership of the artwork to you.
MiraFeld remains the copyright owner and intellectual property owner of the artwork.
You are purchasing permission to use the artwork in specific approved personal ways.
You must not claim ownership of the artwork, register copyright in the artwork as your own, or present the artwork in a way that falsely suggests you created it.
Modification of the Artwork
You must not significantly modify, alter, adapt, or create derivative works from the artwork without prior written consent from MiraFeld.
However, minor modifications may be allowed where they are necessary for your personal project.
For example, resizing or colour adjustments may be allowed where needed for a tattoo, personal décor item, or other approved personal use.
Any modification must stay within the personal, non-commercial scope of the licence.
How Long the Licence Lasts
This licence continues indefinitely unless it is ended under the terms of the agreement.
This means there is no fixed expiry date unless the licence is terminated according to the licence terms.
When the Licence Starts
The licence begins once the full licence fee has been paid.
By completing payment where this licence is presented or referenced before purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the licence terms.
A physical signature is not required for the licence to take effect.
File or Artwork Delivery
The artwork will be supplied in the form purchased.
For digital artwork files, MiraFeld will generally provide the following formats by default:
PNG
JPEG
PDF
SVG
If you require another file type, such as EPS, AI, or another specific format, you may request this before or after purchase. Additional file types may be provided where available and suitable for the artwork.
Digital files will usually be delivered by email as a ZIP folder containing the supplied artwork files.
Where a physical artwork is purchased, ownership of the physical item transfers to you once payment and delivery are complete.
However, copyright and intellectual property ownership remain with MiraFeld unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Physical artworks will be delivered by the agreed shipping or collection method.
Once the artwork or files have been delivered, you are responsible for securely receiving, downloading, storing, and backing them up where relevant.
Your Responsibilities
You must use the artwork only in the ways allowed by the licence.
You must not use the artwork for any commercial purpose, resale, mass production, distribution, or third-party use.
You must also notify MiraFeld if you become aware of any unauthorised use or copying of the artwork by someone else.
You must not use the artwork in connection with anything unlawful, misleading, deceptive, hateful, discriminatory, violent, or seriously harmful to MiraFeld’s reputation or the integrity of the artwork.
If the Licence Is Misused
If the artwork is used outside the licence terms, the licence may be terminated.
Examples of misuse include using the artwork commercially, reselling it, distributing it, reproducing it for sale, or allowing another person or business to use it without permission.
If a breach can be fixed, the breaching party usually has 14 days after written notice to correct the issue.
Some serious breaches may lead to immediate termination, especially deliberate commercial use, resale, or unauthorised distribution of the artwork.
If the Licence Ends
If the licence ends, you must stop any further use of the artwork.
However, any personal items or materials created in full compliance with the licence before termination may be kept and used for their original permitted personal purpose.
Any items or materials created in breach of the licence must stop being produced, marketed, displayed for sale, distributed, or otherwise used.
If requested by MiraFeld, you may need to confirm in writing that infringing materials have been removed.
MiraFeld’s Promises
MiraFeld confirms that the artwork is an original work created by MiraFeld and, to the best of MiraFeld’s knowledge, does not infringe another person’s intellectual property rights.
MiraFeld also confirms that no previous licence or transfer has been granted that would conflict with your Exclusive Personal Usage Licence.
MiraFeld agrees to supply the artwork in the format and quality described at the time of purchase and to provide reasonable assistance if you experience issues accessing the artwork.
MiraFeld’s Retained Rights
Even though the artwork is licensed exclusively to you, MiraFeld may still display the artwork as part of its portfolio, website, social media, promotional materials, or past work examples.
MiraFeld may also identify you as the person associated with the artwork for attribution or portfolio purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
MiraFeld may mark the artwork as sold, licensed, or unavailable.
MiraFeld will not otherwise use, licence, reproduce, or commercially exploit the artwork in a way that competes with or weakens the exclusivity granted to you.
Governing Law
This licence is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
