Non-Exclusive Personal Use Licence

This page gives a simple overview of the MiraFeld Non-Exclusive Personal Usage Licence.

MiraFeld licences are created to protect both the customer and MiraFeld. They are not intended to make the process feel complicated or distant, but to make sure the artwork is held with care, the terms of use are clear, and both parties understand what has been agreed.

When you purchase a MiraFeld print, the intention is that you feel secure in your purchase, confident in how you are allowed to enjoy the artwork, and clear about what is not included. MiraFeld values respectful use of creative work, clear communication, and a purchasing process that feels transparent rather than confusing.

This summary is here to help you understand the main rights, restrictions, and responsibilities before reading the full licence document.

The full licence document is the legally binding agreement. This summary is provided as a plain-English guide to make the key terms easier to understand before purchase.

What This Licence Is For

The Non-Exclusive Personal Usage Licence applies to standard MiraFeld prints.

When you buy a MiraFeld print, you are buying the physical print itself, along with permission to use and display that print for personal, non-commercial purposes.

This licence is suitable for:

  • displaying the print in your home

  • displaying the print in another personal space

  • gifting the physical print to someone else

  • keeping the print as part of a personal collection

  • sharing personal photos of the print in your space

This licence does not apply to original artworks, which usually include an Exclusive Personal Usage Licence.

It also does not allow business use, merchandise use, resale of copies, or commercial use.

Where reasonable, MiraFeld appreciates being credited, tagged, or linked when you share the artwork online.

What “Non-Exclusive” Means

This is a non-exclusive licence.

This means MiraFeld may sell the same artwork as a print to other customers.

MiraFeld may also licence or reproduce the artwork in other formats or contexts, unless a separate exclusive agreement prevents this.

Purchasing a standard print does not make the artwork exclusive to you.

You own the physical print you purchased, but you do not own the artwork itself or the copyright.

What This Licence Does Not Allow

This licence is for personal enjoyment only. It does not allow you to copy, reproduce, sell, or commercially use the artwork.

You cannot use the artwork for:

  • business branding

  • logos

  • marketing or advertising

  • products for sale

  • merchandise

  • prints for resale

  • digital products

  • packaging

  • NFTs or other commercial digital uses

You also cannot:

  • scan or copy the artwork

  • upload a high-resolution version online

  • share the artwork files for others to download or print

  • claim that you created the artwork

  • claim copyright ownership of the artwork

  • register the artwork as a trade mark, design, or other registered right

  • create new commercial artworks, designs, or products based on the artwork

In simple terms: you may display and enjoy the print personally, but you may not copy it, sell copies of it, use it for business, or turn it into products.

Social Media Use

You may share photos of the artwork in your personal space on social media, as long as the post is personal and not being used to promote a business, product, or service.

For example, you may post a photo of the print hanging in your home.

You should not post a high-resolution image of the artwork in a way that allows others to download, print, copy, or commercially use it.

Where reasonable, please credit, tag, or link to MiraFeld when sharing the artwork online.

How Long the Licence Lasts

This licence begins once you complete payment for the print.

The licence continues indefinitely unless it is terminated under the licence terms.

This means there is no fixed expiry date, provided the artwork is used within the personal, non-commercial scope of the licence.

If the Licence Is Misused

MiraFeld may terminate this licence if the artwork is used outside the licence terms.

Examples of misuse include:

  • using the artwork for business or commercial purposes

  • reproducing the artwork

  • distributing copies of the artwork

  • selling copies of the artwork

  • using the artwork on products for sale

  • seriously breaching the licence and not fixing the issue after being asked to do so

If the licence is terminated, you must stop any use of the artwork that breaches the licence.

You must also not make or keep copies of the artwork, other than the original physical print.

MiraFeld’s Retained Rights

MiraFeld keeps the right to display the artwork in portfolios, on websites, on social media, and in promotional materials.

MiraFeld may also reproduce or licence the artwork in other formats or contexts, unless restricted by another exclusive agreement.

Because this is a non-exclusive print licence, the same artwork may also be sold or licensed to other customers.

MiraFeld’s Promises

MiraFeld confirms that, to the best of its knowledge, the artwork is an original work and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

MiraFeld remains the copyright owner of the artwork and is responsible for managing how the artwork is sold, displayed, licensed, or reproduced.

The print will be supplied as described at the time of purchase, and MiraFeld will take reasonable care to ensure it matches the artwork, size, format, and quality presented in the product listing.

If you experience an issue with your order or have questions about how you may use the print, MiraFeld will provide reasonable assistance and clear communication where possible.

Governing Law

This licence is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
